BRITISH SOLDIERS TO BE COMMANDED BY BRUSSELS!

From THE REFORMER, September/October 2000, pages 14-15
The Official Organ of the Protestant Alliance
(reproduced here with permission)

As we reported in the July/August issue of the Reformer magazine the EU's grip is getting military.

At the EU summit in Helsinki, the federalists agreed another major building block in the creation of the single European state. They are already well advanced in their plans for:

A single government;
A single legal system;
A single police force;
A single tax system;
A single agricultural system;
A single fishery;
A single market;
A single currency.
NOW THEY WANT THEIR OWN ARMY!

The Helsinki agreement makes it possible for unified military action to take place as part of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) which is supervised by Javier Solana. He is also the general secretary of the Western European Union (WEU), a military pact which the federalists are seeking to merge with the European Union.

So, Mr. Solana already controls European Union foreign policy and, as soon as a majority vote at the Council of Ministers gives authorization (it does not even require unanimity!), he will have the military force to carry it out.

HAVE YOU EVEN HEARD OF THIS MAN
WHO MAY SOON HAVE THE POWER TO
SEND BRITISH SERVICEMEN INTO
BATTLE IN THE NAME OF THE
EUROPEAN UNION???

Remember:

The headquarters of the Franco-German Eurocorps has taken command of all NATO troops in Kosovo; including the 3,300 British troops, despite the fact that Britain declined to join the Eurocorps.

The European Council only needs a two-thirds majority to initiate military action and any dissenters may not pursue a contradictory independent policy.

The European Army is to be used for 'peacekeeping' and 'peacemaking' - in other words, to impose the will of Brussels by force of arms (i.e. warmaking!).

Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission, has openly admitted that "Europe is forging its own Government and army" and, in the same statement, he mocked the British Prime Minister's efforts to deny the truth saying "if you don't want to call it a European Army, don't call it a European Army. You can call it Margaret or Marie-Anne!"

Plans for a broader European Union "rapid reaction force" with joint training, operational intelligence, satellite and other capabilities are going ahead, with Mr Blair's open acceptance that this will be "outside the NATO framework". The British Government is therefore accepting that we shall drift from the American alliance, which has been the backbone of our security policy since World War II.
