HORSE RIDING AT KENTISH TOWN CITY FARM
RIDING The farm riding programme aims to provide access to horses and riding for the youth of Camden at affordable rates. It also offers a limited adult riding programme at a cost and aims to provide a structured training programme for trainee placements
PONY CLUB The Pony club is a project that provides lessons for those who can not afford commercial rates. The age limit is 7-16 years old. Lessons start at 4pm and cost£3.00 per half hour. There is a waiting list which is open during September to anyone living in Camden between the ages specified. Pony club membership is £5 per term.

PONY RIDES The Farm provides pony rides on Sundays for any small children. The ponies are led around the riding area and hats are provided. The cost is £1 and tickets are sold at 1.30pm.
ADULTS To help support our riding Programme & hopefully prevent increased costs to it's users, daytime lessons are now available for adults. An assessment of ability will be necessary before joining a class (weight limit 11 stone) Term Year Adult £20 £50 Membership Offers 20% discount on Hacks and Lesson. YOUNG RIDERS Age Range 16-21 years To enable young farm users the opportunity to further their training and ride at reduced rate. Membership Offers discounts for Block Bookings/ Regular users opportunity to join lectures/Practical sessions. Trips and other activities. Membership Fee Term Year offers 20% Discount £10 £25 (50% concession for students) *Young Volunteers 16-21 years old need to start yard duties by 9.30 to qualify for free hacks Young Riders who wish to ride weekends need to be members
GROUP BOOKINGS We take group bookings from schools and special needs groups during term time and registered play-scheme during the holidays. We provide hard hats to BSI standards. Riders should however wear shoes or boots with a small heal and trousers if possible.
SPECIAL EVENTS Traditionally, the Farm provides a show jumping team for Camden to take part in the London Youth Games. In training for this event, short listed riders compete at local horse shows. Our driving pony also helps Father Christmas deliver his presents at our annual Christmas Fete.
TRAINING We provide structured riding lessons from beginners to the standard required for the British Horse Society Assistant Instructor Examination. We accept full time training placements for young people on schemes, i.e. Camden Job-Train.
